Internet research

 
  • INT and EXT - INT in a script means inside and EXT means outside.
  • Size twelve font, courier new
  • When writing the location, keep it short
  • Always write day or night
  • When writing were the scene is always in caps lock
  • After writing a slug line do a brief teaser (go into more depth of location and whats happening)
  • When a character is introdudced for the first time put their name in bold
  • When you want a character to start speaking move two spaces down and 2.2 inches in from margin
  • Dialougue is one inch from the left margine
  • At certaing times its appropriate to capitalise actions
  • If you want a certain action for a certain character put it in bracets directly underneath the name, this can also be used to indicate who they are speaking to
  •  Remember at the end of the scene, write a new slug line
